SST Thermal Solutions ME FZE has successfully completed the design and supply of a specialized electric heat tracing system for a key project with Pro-Heat/OCP Group at the Jorf Lasfar industrial complex in Morocco. This landmark project, located at the world’s largest fertilizer complex, marks the company’s successful entry into the Moroccan market with the globally renowned OCP Group as its inaugural end-user.
The installation was critical for maintaining optimal temperatures within mining process units handling molten sulphur and associated mineral processing pipelines and equipment. To ensure operational reliability and safety, SST Thermal Solutions supplied a robust heat tracing system featuring 2,754 meters of self-regulating heating cable, delivering a total power output of 46 kW.
The OCP Group, a global leader in phosphate mining and fertilizer production, operates the Jorf Lasfar platform — the world’s largest fertilizer exporter. This heat tracing system is essential for ensuring the efficiency and operational continuity of the site’s advanced mineral processing.
“This project is a significant strategic achievement for us,” said Ayush Pande, SST Thermal Solutions’ Managing Director in India and Middle East. “Successfully executing our first project in Morocco with a partner of OCP’s caliber demonstrates our capability to deliver reliable heat tracing solutions for the world’s most demanding industrial environments. We are proud to contribute to the efficiency of the largest fertilizer complex in the world and look forward to strengthening our presence in the region.”
SST Thermal Solutions is one of the world’s top-3 manufacturers of heating cables and a leader in providing heat tracing solutions for industry and de-icing systems for commercial infrastructure. This collaboration with the OCP Group establishes SST Thermal Solutions as a trusted provider of industrial heat tracing systems in North Africa’s vital mining and processing sector.
