The SST Thermal Solutions Group of Companies joins a major and prestigious oil refinery project in India. The project scope includes engineering services, equipment and materials supply, construction activities, as well as pre-commissioning and commissioning.

The Indian Hindustan Petroleum Corp. (HPCL), one of the five largest oil and gas companies in India, plans to commission an oil refinery and petrochemical operation in Pachpadra (Barmer District, Rajasthan, India) by January 2024 in a joint venture with the Government of Rajasthan.
The new facility will process 9 million tons of crude oil and produce more than 2.4 million tons of petrochemicals annually. This project will significantly reduce import costs and kickstart the development of the processing and manufacturing industry in the region:, including chemicals, petrochemicals, construction, and mechanical engineering.
Oil and Gas Minister of India, Hardeep S. Puri, called the Barmer Oil Refinery “a true gem of the desert.” According to Mr. Puri, “the construction of the refinery will bring new jobs and new opportunities to the residents of Rajasthan.”
The SST Thermal Solutions Group of Companies, a global leader in providing industrial and commercial solutions for safety and comfort, won the EPC-contract to install electric heating cable systems on the industrial site and its utility systems at the HPCL Oil Refinery. The scope of supply includes self-regulating heating cables and heating cables with mineral insulation, junction boxes, explosion-proof control cabinets, sensors, a control and monitoring system, power, control, and fiber optic cables, and cable support structures. The EPC contract covers engineering, manufacturing, construction and installation, and commissioning services.
The SST Thermal Solutions Group of Companies, _ has completed over 35,000 industrial and infrastructure electric heating cable projects worldwide, including turnkey projects, and is accredited as a trusted vendor by more than 20 global EPC contractors, such as Larsen & Toubro, Linde, Total, Petrofac, WorleyParsons, Technip, and CorTech International. The company is also an accredited vendor of EIL (Engineers India Limited), which is important for participating in Indian projects.
Barmer Refinery is one of the largest projects in India’s oil & gas sector. The scale of the project is truly impressive.; it will require five times more concrete to complete than what was needed to build the super-high-rise Burj Khalifa in the UAE and 40 times more structural steel than the Eiffel Tower in France contains. The project will also require 28,000 km of cable and wire products, equivalent to twice the diameter of the Earth.
